In areas with frequent thunderstorms, in order to prevent the lightning wave on the high-voltage side of the transformer from passing through the transformer and endangering the insulation of the generator, a set of lightning arresters should be installed on the outlet line of the generator.

Lightning protection devices can guide lightning into the ground to avoid directly hitting the generator set. Common lightning protection devices include lightning protection belts, lightning rods, etc. When selecting and installing lightning protection devices, relevant national standards and specifications should be followed.
